Tunesië is een wijnland in Noord-Afrika. In 1936 trof phylloxera de wijngaarden. Het herstel gaat langzaam. Het binnenlands verbruik is gering. De productie is vooral gewone rode wijn en rosé, naast likeurwijnen.
Tunisia is a wine country in North Africa. In 1936 phylloxera hit the vineyards. Recovery is slow. Domestic consumption is low. Production is mainly ordinary red wine and rosé, plus liqueur wines.

Tunesische likeurwijnen hebben minstens 17 procent alcohol en minstens 70 gram restsuiker per liter. Ze zijn geurig, sterk en toch fijn. Teelt ten oosten van Bizerte, rond Créteville, Belli en Bou-Arkoub, en langs de kust tussen Kelibia, Menzel-Temine, Beni-Aichoum en Beni-Khiar.Tunisian liqueur wines have at least 17 percent alcohol and at least 70 grams residual sugar per litre. They are fragrant, strong and yet fine. Grown east of Bizerte, around Créteville, Belli and Bou-Arkoub, and along the coast between Kelibia, Menzel-Temine, Beni-Aichoum and Beni-Khiar.
