Nederland heeft negen BOB's. Dat zijn de negen wijnbouwgebieden. Wijngaarden liggen in alle twaalf provincies. Veel domeinen zetten in op resistente rassen zoals PIWI en biologische teelt met weinig gewasbescherming.
The Netherlands has nine PDOs. Those nine BOB designations are the nine winegrowing regions. Vineyards now stand in all twelve provinces. Many domains work with resistant varieties such as PIWI and organic growing with little crop protection.

IFOAM Organics Europe herbevestigt na de EP-stemming op 17 juni 2026 dat biologische productie NGT-vrij blijft. NGT-zaden moeten gelabeld worden maar patenten op genetisch materiaal blijven een risico voor zaadsoevereiniteit.
De nieuwe EU-NGT-verordening stimuleert innovatie via twee categorieën maar biologische telers vrezen patenten, hogere zaadprijzen en ketenvermenging. IFOAM en BioNederland benadrukken dat biologische productie NGT-vrij en controleerbaar blijft.IFOAM Organics Europe reaffirms after the EP vote of 17 June 2026 that organic production stays NGT-free. NGT seeds must be labelled but patents on genetic material remain a risk for seed sovereignty.
The new EU NGT regulation stimulates innovation via two categories but organic growers fear patents, higher seed prices and chain mixing. IFOAM and BioNederland stress that organic production stays NGT-free and checkable.
